Drinking tea, whether alone or in the company of others, can always allow a person to gain some understanding and harvest something. And I believe the word ‘cherish’ is particularly precious. When drinking tea, we need to especially cherish two things: first, cherish the tea connection, and second, cherish human relationships.

The encounter between humans and tea also depends on a subtle kind of fate, so it is simply called “tea destiny”. Everyone’s affinity with tea varies in intensity. Some people never take a sip of tea and have very little connection with it; some drink tea when they come across it, but do not think much of it afterward, showing a shallow bond with tea; while others cannot let go once they touch tea, indicating a very deep tea destiny. And the deeper one’s “tea destiny,” the more easily they can attain the joy of serene contentment. There are countless tea lovers, who, like those with a deep connection to tea, cherish even a short escape from life to savor that elusive, free bliss.
The deeper one’s connection with tea, the more one understands how to appreciate subtle pleasures and beautify life. In savoring tea and experiencing life, the delicate and wonderful mind you cultivate through tea will make you realize that you can achieve satisfaction and happiness more easily than others, often finding simple joy in the smallest things.

This world seems truly busy, with people, nature, and society all rushing tirelessly to race against time. So busy that they only know their own warmth and coldness in the indifference of the world; so busy that human relationships grow thin, making ‘affection’ hard to come by; so busy that desires remain unfulfilled, forgetting to be content and cherish what they have… In this vast world, amidst the countless people, those who accompany you for tea differ in identity, experience, and relationship with you, and naturally, the feelings and insights they offer you are also different. And these vastly different circumstances, whether good or bad, are valuable experiences in our life journey. Those who understand how to cherish and enjoy the present moment will become spiritually richer individuals.
